A Christmas Carol with a Heart

(NIC Event Information)

There will be a unique, small town Texas flavor to this holiday favorite. For the first time the Nagoya Players have teamed up with Nanzan University and high school students to put on a full length show. Special appearances by club musicians Bone Zero, the Shooters Steppers line dancers, NHK Musical, Nanzan Kokusai Drama Club, Matthew Bowden, Montessori International School (Yokkaichi), Yumiko Araki and other local talent will add spice to this collaborative show.

Santa will be available for photos as well as a magic show by Bill Jones, Xmas Carol coloring book contest, book, DVD displays, carolers outside the hall to greet you, and other surprises that make this a community celebration and not just a theater event. The organizers are working side by side with Santa and Friends, an excellent Nagoya-based charity which offers Christmas events for local orphanages and will be supporting them with a generous donation. The goal of the performance is to spread the goodwill of Christmas time with other Chubu volunteer groups in such a way that we truly put the ‘community’ back in ‘community theater.’
